生于上世纪二十年代，伊犁的音乐前辈木沙江•肉孜曾留学西安，是最早一批与内地交流的维吾尔音乐家之一。木沙江曾经主导改制维吾尔乐器，尤其将琵琶的共鸣结构运用于弹拨尔；同时，他是新疆最著名的音乐教育家之一，对后人理解木卡姆和新疆各地民歌起到了关键作用。上世纪九十年代，木沙江曾经移居库尔勒进行教学，期间和数位学生保留了排练、聚会演奏录音。塔石-005集中展现这批木沙江在库尔勒时期的私制录音，帮助读者认识作为音乐演奏者的木沙江大师；这批曲目素材植根于新疆的历史和民俗，昭示着他不仅是一位“新疆/中亚”的艺术家，而且是一位有着强烈中国情结的音乐人物。

The ninety-year-old Uyghur dutar master and the legendary instrument luthier, Musajan Rozi, is among the most influential artists in the cultural exchange between a broader Chinese territory and the Xinjiang region. In 1990s, Musajan Rozi spent more than a decade in Korla, a mid-southern City of Xinjiang, and during the time he left a dozen of tapes recorded during practice sessions and other occasions. TMA-005 presents these musical archives of Musajan Rozi along with oral narratives by his colleagues, disciples, friends, and family members. The final product includes 5 CDs, a lyrics book, a guide brochure, and a set of pictorial cards. All parts are written in Uyghur and Chinese.
